Access to the Information Commons (IC) is restricted to staff and students at the University of Sheffield.  A valid UCard is required at all times to pass through the entrance turnstiles.

Alumni members with alumni membership are also welcome in staffed hours.

The Information Commons aims to deliver high quality IT-enabled study space and 24hr access to heavily-used student materials. Demand for seats and books is intense and as such, access is restricted to UCard holders.

If you require a specific item held at the IC but cannot gain access you can place a Request selecting the option to collect from another accessible library site
