Any item may be recalled by the library if requested by another library user. Recalled items should be returned by the date given in the email. 

  • Your account may be frozen so you may be unable to borrow any more items until the requested item is returned. We will continue to automatically renew other items on your account.
  • You will continue to receive overdue reminders until the item is returned.
  • Long overdue items will be marked as lost, at which point an invoice may be issued to replace the book.
  • Once the items have been returned and removed from your account, you will be able to borrow again.

It is quick and easy to check the current status of your account by clicking on MyLibrary Account in StarPlus. The status of your loans can change daily and you may be able to renew a item that had been previously recalled.
