See our guide to borrowing to check for how long you can keep books that you have borrowed. Students who are registered for Additional Support may also register for longer library loans by filling in the online form

Reference copies of core texts (they will often have a green band) cannot be borrowed. This is to ensure that at least one copy of a heavily used textbook remains in the library. All books held in D REF on Level Four of The Diamond are reference-only.

Books are automatically renewed by the library if they have not been requested by another user. This applies to external users as well.

Items that have been requested are subject to shorter loan periods, so you need to regularly check your library account and emails from the library.
