If you find an item on StarPlus with a status of not loanable this means that the item is for reference in the library only. These items cannot be taken out of the building, or issued to your account.

Most non-loanable items are given this status because they are especially popular and it allows more people to read them in the library in a short space of time. There will usually also be multiple loanable copies of these books, that you can find in the Library and self-issue to your account or request.

If a non-loanable copy of a book is not on the shelf it is likely that someone is already using the material in the library building. Please check again for the item later, or ask a member of staff for assistance locating it.
