When you contact the Library by submitting a new question or email, initiating a chat, or messaging via SMS we may ask you to provide us with certain information which helps us to deal with your query. This is not mandatory and you can initiate contact with us anonymously.

Our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), SMS, chat and email services are provided by a company called Springshare.  These applications are widely used by libraries in UK Universities. Springshare's servers reside in the EU and this is where any data submitted is stored.

Any other personal information you share with us, which will help us deal with your query, is stored on the Springshare servers.

For reporting purposes we may download statistical data to enable us to see who is using our services and how they do this. This will ultimately help us with service improvement.
