There are five library sites to choose from, with access to our print material and offering a variety of different learning spaces  - with silent and quiet areas, bookable group rooms, and computer spaces.

Library staff are on hand to help at every site!

Find your favourite Library site:

  • The Information Commons has four floors of frequently-used textbooks and it is where many items on your resource lists can be found. In addition, there are lots of flexible learning spaces across six floors. These include group spaces to meet up and work together. It is open all day, every day of the year.

  • Western Bank Library has a traditional reading room with views of Weston Park and there are more than one million items in our research collections across all subjects.

  • The Diamond is open 24 hours a day. There is a unique selection of reference books available on the fourth floor (shelf mark; DREF). The building also contains creative media facilities and a range of individual and group study spaces, and is home to a number of lecture theatres and Engineering labs.

  • The Health Sciences Libraries at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and the Northern General Hospital contain collections focusing on medicine, dentistry, and health.
