There are a number of areas in the Library where you can undertake silent study.
There is a silent study area of level 2 with study desks, a silent study PC area on level 3 and a silent study PC area on level 6.
There are some bookable silent study desks on level 2 and bookable silent study PCs on level 3. These spaces can be booked via our booking form
Western Bank Library
Silent study is available in the main reading room on levels 5 and 6.
There are some bookable spaces on the balconies on level 6. Spaces can be booked via our booking form.
Health Sciences Library, Royal Hallamshire
All of the Library study spaces in the main area are classed as silent study. There are a number of bookable PCs and desks in this area. These spaces can be booked via our booking form.
Level 4 is designated as silent study, with the exception of the Library reference collection area, the study balcony and the group study rooms. There is also the study pod on level 3 (room 3.07) that is designated silent study.
There are 75 bookable silent study desks on level 4. These spaces can be booked via our booking form
