To write your DMP, it is recommended that you use DMPonline Sheffield, a resource containing funder and University templates, and detailed guidance to help you. When you have written your draft plan in DMPonline, you can use the ‘Share’ option to share the plan with your supervisor. You can also request feedback on your plan from the Library’s Research Data Management team. To do this, use the ‘Request feedback’ option at the top of your plan in DMPonline. The RDM team aim to provide feedback within three working days. However, please note that the RDM team does not approve DMPs. You should contact your funder, department or supervisor for details of DMP submission and approval processes.

You can find more information on our data management planning page. If you have any questions, email the Library’s Research Data Management team at rdm@sheffield.ac.uk.
