University of Sheffield staff and postgraduate research students should automatically have an account enabling them to deposit research data and other outputs in the University’s ORDA repository.

 

If you are having problems logging in to your ORDA account, the following may be helpful:

 

  • Your internet browser may not be compatible with ORDA. There are known issues with some versions of Firefox, so it’s a good idea to try a different browser such as Chrome. You can find further advice here.
  • If you are both a student and member of staff at the University, make sure that you are logged in to MUSE using your staff profile when you try to log in to ORDA. 
  • When your contract or research degree ends, you will no longer be able to access your ORDA account. It is therefore important to deposit material in ORDA before this date if possible. If you have recently left the University and need to deposit or update items in ORDA, please contact the Research Data Management team at rdm@sheffield.ac.uk.
