We are keen to enable all students to have equal access to library resources. You do not need to explain your disability or even disclose you have one if you have registered with DDSS. A ‘Registered for Additional Support’ card can be provided, simply show this to staff when you ask for assistance. All staff are happy to offer assistance, while additional support staff at each of the library sites can help and advise you.
Our Additional Support information webpages give more information of the services offered.
There are a number of ways in which we can help you to use the library, including the following:
- Help from a library Support Worker
- Requesting Assistance
- Individual Support from library Staff
An Additional Support Card can be issued to disabled or dyslexic students requiring help and support within the library.
