- STH staff can apply for membership of the library however this does not give access to University computing services, so access to many electronic resources will be restricted. Once a member you can access resources via Walk-in Access via dedicated computers based in Western Bank Library and the Health Sciences Library.
- Clinicians with honorary status at the University of Sheffield can apply for membership which will give access to the University of Sheffield's eResources via StarPlus. This includes most of the consultants and many of the registrars working in STH, SCH and the associated teaching hospitals.
- If the library doesn’t have the item you require, or you cannot access it, and you can’t locate it from any other source, we will try to obtain it as an Interlibrary request.
- STH staff are also currently able to request electronic resources that are not held physically by the library here.
Digital content purchased by NHS England is accessible to STH staff (including those University staff with honorary STH contracts), via NICE Evidence Journals and Databases on your STH computer. Once you have logged in using an Athens username and password, content purchased at a regional or local level is also available by clicking on the link to ‘My Resources – access your links, alerts and library information’.
