Students and visitors with responsibility for children and young people are welcome to bring them with them to the Library, as long as they are supervised at all times for their safety. This includes anyone under the age of 18 who must be accompanied and supervised by their guardian, carer, or relative.

If staff receive any report of behaviour that is unsafe or disruptive, and this cannot be resolved satisfactorily, the responsible adult may be asked to leave along with the young person. This policy is in place primarily to protect the safety of all when visiting the library buildings.

If you are a school pupil or a member of a college, including a sixth-form college, you are not eligible to visit the library on your own. You might want to ask a teacher to look into our schools and colleges offer.
