'RBR' stands for 'Rare Book Room'. This book collection is held in the Special Collections reading room on Level Four of Western Bank Library. These books are reference only and cannot be loaned.

Archives, Rare Books and Special Collections material can be consulted in Special Collections during their opening hours either by appointment or drop-in (we recommend making an appointment where possible to save time). Material can also be requested at the Level 5 information desk at Western Bank Library.

To contact the Special Collections team, please email lib-special@sheffield.ac.uk or phone 0114 222 7299.
