We recommend that you access EBooks via the read online option.  This allows you to you to

  • Add personal notes.
  • Notes can be tagged to any page of the eBook.
  • Each time you login, and your notes will automatically appear.
  • You can access your account from any computer anywhere.
  • You can access your eBook on multiple devices.

There is no advantage to downloading eBooks unless you are away from an internet connection and it only offers limited functionality.  Single user license books cannot usually be download and no licenses allow downloading on Kindles.

Important note: Adobe Digital Editions, when you first download it you should make an account when prompted. If you  don't do this any books you download can only be accessed on that PC- even when using the managed desktop. https://www.adobe.com/uk/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/faq.html
