If you have only just received the email stating your request is ready for collection, please ask a member of staff. It may still be being processed in the office and not been placed on the shelves just yet. Please also make sure you are collecting your item from the site you requested it from!
Requests are available for collection 24/7 at the Information Commons and the Diamond; shelved in alphabetical order using first four letters of surname, initials and last four digits of your UCard and dated when the item was placed on the hold shelf.
To collect your request from Western Bank Library and Health Sciences Libraries, you need to go during staffed hours.


Requests are removed from the shelves two days after you receive the email, four days if you are part time, a distance learner, postgraduate or are registered for additional support.  The date is on your email.

If the date for collection is missed and another borrower requires the item, you will have to re-request it and rejoin the queue. If you know that you will have problems in picking up the item, please contact the library either by phone on 0114 2227200 or email and we will keep it for a longer period if no one else needs it.
