Taking a break
Remember!! If you are spending longer hours studying you need to take a break from time to time. Check out our Study Healthy and Take a Break Page. You can take a break for up to 45 minutes whilst studying in the libraries and learning spaces. Just pick up a study break card and place it on your desk when you leave. If you are going to be away for more than 45 minutes, please take your belongings with you. Cards are available for collection from any of our customer help points and throughout the library sites.
- Our study break scheme runs throughout the year and is not restricted to busy periods.
- If you are away for longer than 45 minutes you are at risk of your belongings being moved to one side by other students or staff.
- If you feel uncomfortable moving someone’s belongings, ask a member of staff and we’ll do it for you.
- Take your valuables with you. Belongings are left at your own risk.
The card informs other users of the time the study space was left and the expected return. If a space is left for longer than 45 minutes you can safely move any belongings to one side.
Working together we can make the Library a welcoming place to study!
