Q. What does 'not loanable' in my StarPlus results mean?

If you find an item on StarPlus with a status of not loanable this means that the item is for reference only. These items cannot be taken out of the building, or issued to your account.

Most non-loanable items are given this status because they are especially popular and it allows more people to read them in the library in a short space of time. There will usually be multiple loanable copies of these books as well.

If a non-loanable copy of a book is not on the shelf it is likely that someone is already using the material in the library building. Please check again for the item later, or ask a member of staff for assistance locating it.
