Q. How do I know if there is a queue for my requested book?

If more than one person has requested a book then a queue will form for the book. You can tell if there are already requests on a book when searching on StarPlus by looking at the availability status.

If you then decide to place a request on the book yourself, you can then check your position in the queue by checking the status of your request. Your position will display as in the image below - Place in queue is: 1 means that you are at the front of the queue, and when the next copy of the book is returned to the library it will be held for you.

If a book shows as 'in transit' on StarPlus and the status of the reservation on your library account just says In Process then the book is already being delivered to the library site that you asked to collect it from. You will receive an email as soon as it is ready to collect.
