Q. How do I find articles that are not available via StarPlus?

If you can’t find the full-text article you need by searching in StarPlus here are a few tips:

• Check if there is a legal, freely available copy through Open Access sites.

• Google Scholar is a source of quality information which can easily be set to link to full text material within StarPlus.

Google Scholar searches for full texts of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. It is a great starting point to see what is available across your subject area, which will help you to do a more focused search.

It may provide links to articles where the full-text is not actually available.  It may also link to material which can infringe copyright and/or where it’s not always easy to tell whether or not it’s the final peer-reviewed version.

• Apply via our InterLibrary Request Service via MUSE. We can source articles electronically from other institutions.
