You can export from StarPlus to your chosen reference management software, such as Zotero or EndNote. One option that works with most reference managers is to export via RIS file.

For individual items:

  • Click on the title of the record in StarPlus and the 'Send to' menu will display, including the option to Export RIS.
  • Click on download, and then save the RIS file. This will save the file to your device's usual location for downloaded files.
  • Open your chosen reference management software and import the RIS file. This will usually be done by clicking 'Add' and then selecting 'add file' and navigating to the downloaded RIS file.
  • For specific help on importing to each software, we have collated help guides for versions of Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote.

This method can also be used to export multiple references from StarPlus in one go. You can select multiple records in your Saved Items and click on the three-dots icon on the menu toolbar to load the Send to menu, and select Export RIS from here. This will export all of the selected references in the same RIS file.
